FiLaw membership for international law advisors

SINGAPORE -- FiLaw constantly seeks international law advisors who have the expertise and experience in the several fields of private international law of the 400 jurisdictions worldwide.

FiLaw

FiLaw is the Federation of International Law Advisors Worldwide.  FiLaw is a federation of independent professional members.  FiLaw members deal exclusively with international issues, which by their nature involve the laws of two or more nations or other jurisdictions.  FiLaw provides information only about the law of jurisdictions, not business, pricing or other disciplines.  Each FiLaw member is an advisor in an area of the private international law of one of the 400 jurisdictions in the world.  Finally, FiLaw members operate in and provide international law information about all 192 nations and 200 other major jurisdictions in the world.   

Eligibility

FiLaw requests that international law advisors consider FiLaw membership if they have all of the following qualifications:

  1. Expertise.  Each advisor will have extensive knowledge and be a preeminent authority in the field of the private international law of a jurisdiction;
  2. Experience.  Each advisor will have sufficient experience in the field of the private international law of a jurisdiction.;
  3. Reputation.  Each advisor will have a preeminent reputation in the advisor's community as an expert and experienced advisor in the field of the private international law of a jurisdiction;
  4. Time.  Each advisor will have sufficient time to devote to assigned questions in the field of the private international law of a jurisdiction;  and
  5. Technology.  Each advisor will have the technological ability to conduct the requisite research and to communicate with FiLaw the responses to the assigned questions in the field of the private international law of a jurisdiction.

International law advisors who believe that they have the requisite qualifications, as summarized above, are requested to request an application form from FiLaw and to complete and submit it for consideration.

FiLaw has an online request form that may be used by international law advisors to request a formal application for FiLaw membership.

Advisors who complete the online request form will receive information about the terms and conditions of FiLaw membership, including the benefits and responsibilities of membership, and a formal application for FiLaw membership.
